Art, Travel, Transpiration (en Europe, 2022)

  There could be a giant lizard whose tail stripes the land  as she crawls the peaks and troughs of mountains The land becomes a tiger The tiger is passionate about her rises and falls I wish I could  protect her folds and imperfections So good to be so far away and reminded that some choices are beyond me. *     *     * I dyed my  hair in France, thinking (ha!) I could  have a say in the progression of time, as time, the darkling that she is marches all over me, towards and beyond us all So small, our  endeavours
